krishna never provoked Arjuna to fight,It was Arjuna who asked Krishna to show right path . It was really very simple for Krishna to stop Fight , He could have advice Pandavas to stay happy with what ever you have . But Krishna knows who is wrong and who is right . It was Krishan who wanted to punish wrong one . So basically Krishan teaching was fully based on two things Karma and Dharma
.Kaurawas breakes all dharma , they did not returns Pandavas land , even after suffering of 14 years of Jungle life. Kauravas insulted a lady (Dropati) in front of many people , as we know Dropati was a queen . They cheated Pandavas in gamble, and After losing very thing Pandavas lost him self also. Pandavas become slave of Kauravas .
These are short discription of Kauravas bad dids .
Krishna inspired. But not for violence, but for duty. When a soldier kills, it is not treated as murder, it is treated as duty. Krishna tried every attempt for peace. Even after all peace treaty failed, he went to Hastinapur, himself. In order to maintain peace, he asked Duryodhana to just give 5 villages, 5 villages instead of complete empire. Can you imagine.
what will happen to Dropati insult done by Kauravas ,if there is peace .
Peace and Non violence is not same. Even Mahatma Gandhi said that he would prefer violence than cowardice.
The reason behind the whole discourse was Arjun’s reluctance to kill his own people. This is when Krishna had to intervene to make him realise his duty as a warrior. This entire episode is not about Arjun’s inclination towards nonviolence, but about his reluctance to kill those he regarded as his own.
Let us relate all these things from our current life .Suppose tomorrow you have a job and your family is depending on your job , you are giving little support to your relative. Suddenly you lost your job , so who will be your priority ,your family or your relative . You may be in confusion here , that what about your relative , so here your Karma is to look afer your family first , not your relative . it's your responsibility to give them a decent life.
Being too emotional can be a bad idea, Dhritrashtra’s blind love for his son was so high that he always ignors Duryoodhana biggest mistake , In our life should try to understand every one , we should not thinks that he or she is my son ,daughter ,wife or mother . Any one can be wrong . Dhritrashtra's love for son always stop him to take right decisions.
We also learn that here every one is doing their karma , it may looks bad for you but it is their Karma , For example Karana was fighting for Duryodhana , so according to Pandavas it was Adhrama . Have you ever seen a lion killing a deer , oviously it looks cruel to you .but it's Karma for Lion .
but it's Karma for Lion .
If you think something belongs to you or it is your property ,you need to fight for that .
Most important lesson of Mahabharata was , Never insult and hurt a woman , Kauravas insulted a woman and they all died.
