Hello friends today we are going to talk a very important topic ,Ashgabat Agreement. Ashgabat is the capital of Turkmenistan.Ashgabat is main centre for this agreement , all transportation are happening from this routes only . According to this agreement all the country coming under this agreement can easily transport their goods from all the country coming under this agreement, they do not required to go through long process of document verifications , which is very time consuming.The agreement was originally signed by Iran, Oman, Qatar, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan on April 25, 2011. Qatar subsequently withdrew from the agreement in 2013, the same year Kazakhstan applied for membership, which was eventually approved in 2015.Pakistan has also applied to join this agreement, but are yet to be approved by existing members. India formally joined in February 2018.So currently  Ashgabat agreement  has Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, India and Oman for creating an international transport and transit corridor facilitating transportation of goods between Central Asia and the Persian Gulf. The agreement came into force in April 2016. Ashgabat in Turkmenistan is the depository state for the agreement . Now question is why this agreement is very important for Indian point of view . Let me tell you few things , before independence of India , India was expecting to grow very fast because they where thinking they can easily able to connect with Gulf country and Russia . But because  of India Pakistan Partition India was disconnected with These country .We are struggling for more then 75 years to be able to make a easy transport in Gulf and Russian country . So this is a very very good news for all Indians .As we have also built Chabhar port on Iran ,So we can easily send our goods to this port from Mumbai by sea transport . And from Chabhar Port our goods can easily transported to European , Russia and Gulf nation by trains services. One thing, transportation through sea is cheaper as compare to transportation through road routes , So we need not required Pakistan to connect with Gulf, European and Russian nations.There are many more benefits we are going to get with this agreement , please comment and share your view on this topic.
